Apple-tree sculpture with light

Found this old photo of a sculpture i constructed for an exhibition, 'Art Age' i curated back at college in 2003

It is reclaimed apple tree branch that someone had felled. I wanted to celebrate them. Apple trees are said to be considered symbols of peace.
''The apple-tree has been celebrated by the Hebrews, Greeks, Romans, and Scandinavians. Some have thought that the first human pair were tempted by its fruit. Goddesses are fabled to have contended for it, dragons were set to watch it, and heroes were employed to pluck it'' taken from wikipedia

"Nature" is what we see—
The Hill—the Afternoon—
Squirrel—Eclipse— the Bumble bee—
Nay—Nature is Heaven—
Nature is what we hear—
The Bobolink—the Sea—
Thunder—the Cricket—
Nay—Nature is Harmony—
Nature is what we know—
Yet have no art to say—
So impotent Our Wisdom is
To her Simplicity.
